Kingdom Hearts news has been a bit light, so for Kingdom Hearts Union Episode 77, Branden is joined by Churro and Sabrina as they talk about their experiences with Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae. As the game was originally under the direction of Tetsuya Nomura, there are clear comparisons between Final Fantasy XV and the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The group take a look at these similarities, especially from a gameplay perspective, before delving into other aspects of the demo. As always, there are also some questions from the fans thrown in there for good measure and there is also a tiny bit of Kingdom Hearts news. In short, it's another fun episode for you all to enjoy!

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has at least landed on Western shores (well, North America at least), so that becomes our featured discussing this episode. We are joined by Stealth, who talks about his memories of checking out the original PSP version, while Darryl and Lauren talk about their experiences with the PS4 version of the game. In addition, Darryl had the chance to check out the Final Fantasy XV demo last week, so he runs through some of the elements, with a primary focus on combat and weaponry. We also have some news about Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and Final Fantasy Record Keeper and we have the triumphant return of the Ultimate Final Fantasy Quiz! Yes, it's back with a renewed format ready for another year of trivia. Featured music this episode is from Final Fantasy XV, we had to really.
Mar 15, 2015
Bryce Hitchcock (Deuce in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD) joins us on Final Fantasy Union for this speciial edition episode as we continue speaking with the voice actors from Square Enix's latest RPG. Bryce has been acting for quite a few years now and has dabbled in TV work, voice acting and music. Join us as we ask Bryce about her role within Type-0 HD, her wider career and how she's going to start a new trend with ukelele music. It's a really fun interview and with it arriving so close to the launch of the game, we hope it will get you super psyched... maybe even hyped, for Type-0 HD.
Mar 6, 2015
In our second interview for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, we are joined by Jonathon McClendon, who plays the lead character Ace! We have some great questions as part of this show and without wanting to spoil it too much, you will all be pleased to know that Jonathon is a huge gamer who was thrilled to be able to talk about his role as Ace and more importantly, how he landed the role. There are also some wider discussions about the video games industry and of course, Type-0 HD. Thanks to all who asked questions, we had a blast and we hope you do too when listening!

Kingdom Hearts Union Episode 76 and it is marked by the return of Kingdom Hearts University! Yes, that's right, Branden is back with Churro and Sabrina to educate listeners on a brand new topic from the world of Kingdom Hearts and this time it's Kingdom Hearts Chi. The topic was suggested by Patreon backer William Helmrich and it proves a rather interesting one, as without going into spoilers, the group talk about the connections with Chi and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. The group also have the unfortunate news of talking about some recent passings in the world of Kingdom Hearts as both the English and Japanese voices for Master Xehanort passed away and there is also another special mention for Monty Oum. There's also some room for some intense questions from the community at the end of the show and we have a track from Mree (on YouTube), which you really won't want to miss out on.
Feb 20, 2015
We are joined by the hugely talented Orion Acaba for a special Final Fantasy Union interview. Orion voices Nine in Final Fantasy Type-0, but has also had roles in other games such as the Phoenix Wright franchise and the Tales franchise. We ask a whole ton of questions offered up by the community and it turns out that Orion is both a huge gamer and a huge fan of Final Fantasy We get into some great discussions about the franchise and how his role as Nine came about. This is one interview you won't want to miss out on!
Feb 17, 2015
We are joined by Mark Robins for Episode 101 of Final Fantasy Union as we talk about the music of Final Fantasy and video game music as a whole. Mark has been campaigning to get video game music more recognition for a few years now and it all started with Aerith's Theme, a track that allowed the community to rally together towards a common goal. Since then, numerous video game franchises have been featured in the Classic FM Hall of Fame, which is the largest commercial radio station in the UK and it's lead to a lot more air time for video game music. We also have a featured discussion about the potential for a Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster, with opinions from the community and also the hosts. Oh, and there's a little bit of news about the impending release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae, which was featured during some of the trailers for Type-0 HD.
Feb 3, 2015
In Episode 75 of Kingdom Hearts Union, Branden is joined by Churro for their second special valentines episode. Yes, that's right the dynamic duo of Kingdom Hearts will be discussing how love could work as a theme in Kingdom Hearts 3 and how they feel it would be best perceived by audiences should Nomura and the crew over at Square Enix decide to make the connection between Sora and Kairi more obvious. Thoughts are shared about the new Kingdom Hearts Tribute Album and there is also news regarding some job postings at Square Enix relating to Kingdom Hearts 3. There are also two fan questions, one about Kingdom Hearts Chi coming to Western audiences and another asking why Kingdom Hearts games aren't available for digital download. Welcome to the first Kingdom Hearts Union episode of 2015! The gang is back to ring in the new year with all things KH. Branden, Churro, and Sabrina jump right into the fray. First up is the news but not much has been released since the special KH holiday special. However, we did get footage from the KH2.5 launch event and Yasue tells us that development for KH3 is moving along at a pace. In lieu of news, the trio spends some time with a special segment in which they recommend games to play in 2015 to hold your interest while we wait for the next KH installment to hit stores. They all offer suggestions of SE games coming out in 2015, non SE games coming out, and even past games that you should play if you haven’t already! You will certainly not be hurting for titles to play! Next up are your questions and this show finds the group discussing topics such as Riku’s relation to Xehanort, favorite key blades and why, and what will happen in the final battle with Xehanort. And rounding out the show is a customary remix and we kick off the year with a beautiful piano rearrangement of Dearly Beloved. The duo round out the year with some site updates, some news, and a TON of your questions! After announcing the general updates from the site, Darryl and Lauren take a look at the recent news that’s been released. First is the Final Fantasy 15 demo and how it won’t be available at the launch of Type-0 AND it will only be available for a short time. The duo discuss issues such as favorite characters from FF9, what FF needs more or less of, which FF worlds should be expanded further, river vs. mountain chocobos, new forms of transportation in FF15, what other podcasts would they do other than FF, whether FF games should have a faster release cycle, and more (literally, there are several more). As you can imagine, there are plenty of tangents and rants to enjoy! We round out the year of FFU episodes with a great remix from Final Fantasy 7 that sends 2014 out with style! Another week brings another episode of Final Fantasy Union to entertain you! Darryl and Lauren sit down to talk all things Final Fantasy and they launch straight into the show. Unfortunately, Square Enix has left us in a bit of a lull for anything new but there are a few scraps of info for you. They talk about how one of the main programmers leaves SE and how SE has acquired a new trademark called “Prequel Trilogy”. What does it mean? What will it apply to? We don’t know, but that certainly doesn’t keep up from speculating! Next up, the gang joins up with special guest Mike who is the newest contestant on the Final Fantasy Quiz. How does he do? Listen to find out. A wonderful remix from Final Fantasy 4 rounds out the show nicely. Enjoy the episode and we’ll see you guys again soon!

Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was a Kingdom Hearts TV show? How about a movie? Ten years ago it was rumored that Disney was developing a Kingdom Hearts animated series. As far back as November of 2004 there were reports from people that had seen a pilot episode for Kingdom Hearts, but it was never confirmed, leaked, or mentioned ever again. Now in 2014 Kingdom Hearts Union is proud to sit down with Seth Kearsley, the director and writer hired by Disney to adapt Kingdom Hearts into a television series! Seth has worked on many animated series such as Mummies Alive (1998), Family Guy (2005), and Looney Toons (2012) as well as feature films such as Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights. Mr. Kearsley has also made a small selection of the storyboard available online. Join Branden, as he travels back to 2002 with Seth Kearsley and unlock the truth behind this show that never was!
